Teens geek out on ‘Star Wars’ Oct 14

All month long, the Fond du Lac Public Library is celebrating the book, Wonder, by R.J. Palacio, the fictional story of Auggie, a 10-year-old boy born with severe facial deformities who deals with cruelty and kindness in his first classroom experience. In the book, Auggie professes his love of Star Wars, especially father-and-son characters Boba and Jango Fett.

Teens in grades 6-12 will celebrate the Fond du Lac Reads book with an Auggie Loves Star Wars party 1-3:30 p.m. Saturday, October 14. Teens will make a Death Star snow globe, decorate Princess Leia cupcakes and watch The Force Awakens. With door prizes. The program is free; no registration required.
